i was wondering if there's an easy way to do attachments. like torrents, pictures, and other small files.
here's a link to my site: http://hondos.org/forum/Forum.asp?FId=270
my picture upload function is acting funny. same with the url function.
is there anyway you could do an attachment mod for me? someone pointed me toward one here: http://www.opentools.de
thanks for any help...and thanks for the service

Hi!
Image upload: When you create a new post you will see the 'Add an Image' section on the bottom of the post screen. Use this to upload images. First you click 'browse' to select an image from your PC and after that you click 'Add Image' to upload the image to our server.
After that the post screen comes up again, with the new section 'Posted Images'. This is a list of all images you uploaded to this new post. With 'add to post' you can add the image to your post.
You always have to upload images to a webserver before displaying them, otherwise others will not be able to see them
To upload ZIP-files you have to create a new forum of type 'Attach files to topics'. This will be your upload forum where you can upload ZIP-flies.

So you can't use the "browse for image" and the attachment features in the same forum?

...i've always had a problem doing the pictures exactly the way you described...
sometimes it works fine...but most of the time...it just puts a little box with a red x ...where i want my picture.

Hi!
Images with filenames containing special characters or blanks could cause problems, try to keep the filename simple. If you want me to take a closer look please provide a link to the post with an image that does not work and I will try to tell you why
For the ZIP-Files: You can put everything in a ZIP file, so this restriction should not cause any problems . We just allow ZIP-files to save storage space.

Im sorry, but there is no way around the ZIPs. Its not that hard to create them, you just have to get used to it .
The size limit for ZIP-files is 5MB.
